Summary of the week 1
Monday - 20/4/09
I was introduced to everyone there including the Managing Director Ir Adnan and the Technical Director Mr Liam. I was also introduced to my supervisor, Muhamad Nasrullah who will guide me along my industrial training.
I was invited to visit the library located on the 3rd floor which has the collection of data of RPM's past projects as well as some general knowledge books.
Brieffing by my supervisor on the current project, Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan Package 3. In order for me to understand the concept and design, he requested me to read and understand the previous package of the project.
Tuesday + 21/4/09
Reading of the previous projeck of Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan.
Preparation of presentation slides on Green Design for Managing Director, Ir Adnan.
Correction of the tender documents on the Projek Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan Package 1 which was rejected by JPS (Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran) Malaysia.

Attending a brief presentation by MD to understand the importance of sustainable development through Green Design.

Correction of the tender documents on the Projek Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan Package 1 which was rejected by JPS (Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran) Malaysia.
Site visit on Friday with MD
Friday - 25/4/09
Completion of the correction on the tender documents on the Projek Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan Package 1 which was rejected by JPS (Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran) Malaysia.
Site visit was canceled.
Discussion with supervisor on works to be done next week. Includes learning of the 3 application that is used to design the Sg Linggi River, Geo-Slope, Hydrologic Engineering Center’s Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS) and Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC-HMS). Also a site visit to Sg Linggi was planed on the 29 of April 2009
