Design of 100 yr water level using HEC-RAS on the project Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Linggi, Negeri Sembilan - Package 3. Problems involved

a) The water level in 100 yr ARI will completely submerge the downstream area where Pekan Linggi is

b) Since the river is connected to the Straits of Malacca, the sea level is one of the important issure where the         level of water in the river would not be able to be reduced by a deepet section of river

c) Widening the river section would cause more land aquisition. It will increase the cost of the project

Finalization on the review of excavation volume report

a) Obtained echo sounder data from contractor on 14 May 2009

b) Calculation of excavation volume as per design

c) Comparison between the volume of excavation as per drawing and work done

d)  Contractor did not follow construction drawing. The river section is cut using a bigger section

e)  Increase of volume of almost 80%
